These pieces start with powdered glass which is sifted on a base sheet of glass.. Water is added to the powder and "painted" on the glass. It is not as easy as it sounds, It's a lot like sand and water. The powder can also be manipulated with various tools to "create" the picture. It goes through a process of layering and firing until desired outcome. is reached. The final firing has layered colored crushed glass called frit. It is fired again either to full fuse or tack fuse..
